On the stage
CSPS remains your source for great
new theatre, music and film from around the globe.
Hitting
the stage soon are acclaimed jazz
singer
Karrin Allyson (Mother's Day, May 11); and
folk-rock sensation from the Faroe Islands,
Teitur, with Jessie Baylin and Helgi (May 17).
Help Andy Warhol help Legion Arts
To match a $50,000 grant from the Andy Warhol
Foundation for the Visual Arts in New York, Legion Arts needs to raise
$50,000 in local and other donations this spring. These
donors have already contributed the
first $15,000.
You can join them and help us move us toward our goal with your gift
of $35, $60, $150 or more. Simply click the gray Donate Now
button on the left of your screen. It's simple, safe and secure.
And you'll have our thanks.
Get the match
You may be able to double your gift
to Legion Arts if your employer matches charitable
contributions made by employees. Click here for a partial list of local and
national firms that do.

Out Here
This June CSPS will host Out Here, a juried exhibit of GLBT

visual arts genre, and would like to be considered for inclusion, please
send an inquiry, resume and/or work sample to
info@legionarts.org. Artists of all styles, and at all stages of their
careers, are eligible.
Lunch with Legion Arts
Would you like to learn more about Legion Arts and
CSPS? Meet new people? And get a free lunch? Our next lunch is
May 7. Interested in attending? Write

Student rush
Starting one hour before the show, students with
legitimate ID can get a ticket for just about any performance at CSPS
for only $5. Deal or what?
Our top 200
For years now, Legion Arts co-director Mel Andringa
has been photographing the performers who visit CSPS, usually in the
galleries following the show, and usually in front of an art work that
the performer chooses.
You can now see several hundred of
those images at the online site
Flickr. Think of it as our Top 200
List: a slightly random, absolutely diverse, and quite amazing record
of the musical, theatrical and artistic talent that's been good enough
to visit CSPS over the years.
You can view the photos
here.
Spread the word
Are you a realtor, arts-related business, tourist
attraction, cultural venue, or member of a club or association?
Or maybe you're just a fan who'd like to let people know about Legion
Arts?
Well, we have a new rack card that serves as an excellent all-purpose
introduction. Pick up a handful next time you're at CSPS, or
call us and we'll send you a stack.
