The Iowa Arts Council brings its biennial “No More Starving Artists” conference to CSPS. The gathering is focused on sharing ways artists can get their work out there, connect with people who can help, and think about pricing their work appropriately for the marketplace. Presenters from Springboard for the Arts, St. Paul, Minn., and Fractured Atlas, New York City, will lead workshops. The keynote panel will discuss new models for making a living as an artist in the 21st century landscape.

Keynote speaker Idris Goodwin is an award-winning playwright, poet, essayist and performer who was recently recognized for inventing a unique blend of free-verse poetry and rap that draws from a foundation of hip-hop culture and tells a story.
