A Barefoot Christmas

  • Sat Dec 2 2017 - 8:00 pm • CSPS Hall
  • $22 advance | $27 door

Join us as we kick off the holidays with The Barefoot Movement, the Nashville outfit that CMT has heralded as “one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene.” Named Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association, the Barefoot Movement presents an irresistible mix of bluegrass, folk, acoustic rock and Americana. With finely-honed covers, plus original songs, impressive instrumentation, and interweaving harmonies, this band combines Old and New into a style all their own. Pulling out all the stops for their holiday show are Noah (singer, songwriter, fiddle), Tommy (mandolin), Alex (guitar) and Katie (upright bass). Incorporating all of your seasonal favorites, you’ll hear acoustic renditions of everything from Chuck Berry’s “Run Run Rudolph” to Perry Como’s “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” as well as moving and emotional takes on more tender songs like “Oh Holy Night” and “Hark The Herald Angels Sing.” Interspersed with holiday stories, recollections and Christmas memories from the band, the holiday music and good cheer will fill you your heart with cheer enough to keep it warm throughout the season.
