For 44 years, American Advertising Federation: Cedar Rapids-Iowa City (AAF: CR-IC) has recognized the best advertising in eastern Iowa with the ADDY® Awards. Each year, local designers, writers and other creatives enter their work in print, broadcast, electronic, outdoor and mobile advertising categories. Local winners then compete against other winners within their regions in one of 14 district competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the National ADDY® Awards competition. Entry in AAF: CR-IC’s ADDY® Awards is the first step toward winning a National ADDY®. Top ranking entries are awarded Gold and Silver ADDY® awards. The judging team also selects the Best of Category and Best of Show awards.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., attendees may view all entries. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The presentation of ADDY® awards follows and includes awards for Service Person of the Year, Ad Person of the Year and the Hall of Fame inductee.
