CONGRESSIONAL ARTS COMPETITION
AWARDS
Congressman Dave Loebsack will host a
reception honoring students who submitted art for judging in the 2010
Congressional Art Competition.
The U.S. House hosts the competition every spring for high school artists across
the country.
Since the competition was created in 1982, hundreds of thousands of high
school students have participated.
The winning student from each district is invited to Washington, DC for the
ribbon-cutting ceremony, and will have his or her artwork displayed in the
U.S. Capitol for one year.
Second and third-place pieces will hang in Congressman Loebsack’s district
office. All artwork submitted by district students will be on display during
the reception at CSPS.
The award ceremony and reception are
open to the public.
